Wind-up key and Horn

I know its been covered, but I cant find anything about the wind up key mod that some smarties have purchased. A club member wants one.

And I want a louder horn but dont want to pay $100+ for one. Anyone do a diy for the dual tone horn?

WindupKey.com

That's where I got mine, but I think some have fashioned their own homemade varieties. It just depends on how creative/skilled they want to be.

Hi jediknight36;
I can't help with the wind up key, but I have put in an air horn without removing any panels, and for about $10.
I have a tutorial on the installation on my web site, www.bluemaxmods.com.
I kept my regular horn and added the airhorn on a separate circuit. I hooked my wiring directly to the battery (fused), but you could also tap into the car's fuse block.
I think the eviloution site also has information you could use.
Good luck
Pete

I put in a WOLO Bad Boy dual-tone air horn - nice, compact, loud unit that cost me about $40 (I think - it's been a while). I made my own key (see my gallery).
You can get some pretty good tutorials here for the horn that do not involve removing body panels, or you can go to Evilution's site, where there is an excellent tutorial (that involves removing body panels, which is how I did it...)
