Friday is my last workday before vacation. But, my Smoky mountain touristing is scheduled for after the Dragon gathering. Really looking forward to both.

I'll be working in Athens, Georgia that weekend. Boo...

If anyone's still near the Dragon in early October, I'll be chillin' out in Tellico Plains the weekend of the 8th, hangin' with some motorcycling friends on the Cherohala Skyway & Deal's Gap, and living at a rental cabin outside Tellico on Rafter Rd.

I almost quit my job this morning (luckily I calmed down later). I am a firm believer of seeing signs AND I'm a very observant person. While I was debating what to do this morning I saw a customer through the glass of one of our offices. He was wearing a "Deal's Gap" shirt. Right then and there I decided it was fate and I needed to quit so I can have more time to screw off.....like go to TOTD II.

About 5 minutes later I saw my coworker pointing in my direction and heard him say "OH! That's HIM over there!". I thought to myself, "What now? Someone else is mad at me and I didn't even do anything to them!". They walked over and said, "You don't remember us, do you?". At first I didn't but then it hit me. My one day I spent at our other location I saw a smart on the way out. I spent a substantial amount of time with them and then went on my way to drive the few hours back home. Apparently after they talked to me they went in and spent A LOT of money and today, while they were heading on their vacation they saw the location I work at and they stopped in to see me.

Renewed my faith in myself.....thanks to another smart owner. I came up with an alternate plan instead of quitting a job I love so all is well.

GetSmrt: The furthest out my "grain of salt" forecast goes is next Friday, with a 30% chance of afternoon showers/tstrms with highs in the mid 70s, nothing beyond that. They don't call it a grain of salt forecast for nothing. 8-10 days out is what I call a pound of salt forecast, LOL

I wish I could say I'd be there then. The weather would probably be more to my liking, heh, a little cooler maybe.

Well, I guess it's a good thing you've still got a job and can't join us up in the mountains next weekend. But, we all know you're independently wealthy and don't need the money.
