Commander and Commanderess rate pic & story

The newspaper The Post and Courier - the South's oldest daily located in Charleston, South Carolina had a blurb about us in the Oct. 31 edition.

The headline states : Outsmarting the Dragon

The pic shows the two of us, plus the car, at Chilhowee Lake in Tenn.

In short the article goes on to say that "The couple joined a group of 90 smart fortwos, the small car made by a Mercedes-Benz subsidiary. The "Tail" is an 11-mile stretch of road in North Carolina and Tennessee packed with 318 curves..."

"Plans are being made now for an "outSMARTING the Dragon" in 2010. Around January next year begin to visit WWW.smartcarofamerica.com for more info....

Pg. 2E 10/31/09 written by Jim Parker w/ info and pic supplied by his excellency Cdr. Cody

Yup, that's the one they missed! My father and I were close to bringing up the rear (might have been a few behind us). That drive was the first time I really wished the smart car had an Oh S***! handle. Granted, I've never been a passenger before, but man, taking those turns rated 35mph at 60mph in the pouring rain and fog was enough to make me sing praises about the smart car handling, even more so than the Dragon.

There were 2 cars behind you. I WAS the one bringing up the rear. Everyone behind me turned off.

Continued on west to get back to New Orleans...

Next time I will take an extra day to sight see a bit more.
This year was too rushed for me.

Any info starting to surface about 2010 Dragon? End of Sept? Moving from Robbinsville to Fontana? Just want to make sure I'm not down and under but up and over at the right time and place so to speak.
