I purchased a smart car from Canada but I nahing a tough time finding a broker to improt it into the usa. I need to know if this is a european model. This the vin # WMEAJ00F45J160911 if it is I can bring it here in the usa. Thank you and my Phone # is 772-473-8229

When I Googled the VIN this came up on CARFAX:

I would call that 866 number ASAP! Hope it is a mistake.

The vehicle was purchased from Copart Auto Salvage as a theft recovery. Vehicle is no longer considered stolen. I would like to know if anyone has a contact that I may use to import this vehicle to the US. Thanks in advance.

it is highly unlikely you will be able to import it the normal way. Your best bet is to pick it up in Canada, call your insurance and get it insured, and drive it home. If you can't get temporary plates for the ride home, I do not know what you should do.

Sorry the Canadian Smart cdi cannot be registered in the USA. I looked at doing the same thing a few years back... they do not meet the Emission Standards. Wikipedia has more info....
