2nd test drive

Well today I took the wife for a test drive. She really liked the car except when driving in auto mode when say at a stop light when the light turns green when you give it the gas it looses power out or hesitates, this worries her because if she had to clear the intersection and get out of the way she would be a sitting duck. I drove the car in manual mode today and the car had more pep. I would clearly drive in the manual mode most all of the time. One thing I did not like was when turning a corner I lost track of the paddle to shift. All in all the car is fun to drive. I will be ordering a white with the silver comfort package with black interior ,alarm and fog lightes. The rear veiw mirrior was a little hard to get used to also. The map light above the mirrior seems a little cheap also. I told the dealer I would put the money up today if I was guaranteed an 09 model and she said that that was not possible and that I could still possibly get an 08. She said the new models go january to january. She said she would e-mail me with updated information, also no mention of the new changes on the 09 models. Road condition was slippery in spots with wet slush car did just fine. Thanks

When I took my test drive, I followed someone's advice on here which was to use the stick-shift when starting from a corner, then switch to paddles if you want. Worked great.

I find it easier when you're turning at an intersection to use the shifters to shift from first to second. It makes it a lot easier than trying to figure out where the paddle shifters is located when you're turning. The auto mode is a little sluggish but if you punch it it also minimize the lag just a little. But the maual shifting is much better.
