Aftermarket car alarm

Has anyone on Long Island put in an after market car alarm and not use a SMART dealer? What about a new sound system? When the top is down, you can hardly hear the radio

Wow, is it that noisy in Long Island, that you can't hear the radio with the top back?

I got the factory alarm. About the sound system, so far I've only upgraded the speakers. That made a huge difference. Haven't done the head unit yet.

Any good local audio shop should be able to install a good system for you. Like NCC said upgrading the speaking themselves on your own makes a difference. Check out the Polk DB675's, or something similar.
