Alarm issue

Hello All - I am posting because I am having an alarm issue... not the sensor as far as I can tell. I had my dogs in the car the other day and I think they may have stepped on 2 buttons at once or something? My car's locking beep beep beep is not happening now and the doors are not locking at all. The beep happens when I unlock the doors. I have checked to make sure that the internal motion sensor has not been turned on. That seems fine. Last time I turned the motion sensor off for towing I was still able to lock my car and hear the beep beep beep...

Any suggestions on what to check next? THX

The first thing to check is to try with another key.

Check the user manual. You can disable/enable auto-locking and internal motion sensor alarm functions by pressing/holding 2 buttons on the dash.

A personal Note: I did disable auto-locking on mine, because if I forgot, and left the key in the ignition while washing the car, it would lock me out before I got done...<:-((...BUT... That's all it did... My OEM alarm system, and Fob works perfectly same as before, but just had that one feature disabled...

In my previous response I neglected to state the obvious. Make certain the doors and rear hatch are fully latched. If all latches are not detected in the closed position the doors will not lock, thus no beep.

And the obvious was the issue... A bit surprises at how sensitive the car is. Doors were all shut but found a napkin closed in the back door/tailgate.... a napkin! Not a thick "brawny" kind but a cheap, can barely blow your nose on kind of napkin. That is the only thing I found out of place. Feeling a bit embarrassed but the thread help me stop guessing and start at the beginning... the obvious! Thanks All ~
