Any Regrets??? (Re: selecting the cabrio)

I am getting ready to purchase a cabrio. Do any Smart owners regret their purchase?

My wife has a smart passion. She loves it. I am waiting---sent in my configuration March 08. So I have some more time to dream of a white/black passion.
The tranny - you will love it or hate it.
Since you are a fan of convertables, I think you will love it.
What color you getting??

best regards,
Nu

I do not regret getting my little car. I really enjoy driving it.

My only regret is that I haven't sold my other car yet. The Smart wants the garage all to itself so it can park sideways.

No regrets on my coupe purchase, I'm sure the cabrio is at least as much fun. I didn't get one only because I've had enough convertibles for now.

Regrests? No.

But then again I have never owned a car worth over 20K so Im not going to be one of those that tries to comair it to Cadilac or BMW and complain it just doesn't measure up.

If your expecting to carry a large amount of stuff, or drive without being noticed, or expect it to ride like a town car then this will not be the car for you.

My previous vehicle was a 1996 Nissan pickup and it was 'barebones'; no radio, no ac, no intermitten wipers, no back window wiper. When I bought my little car, it was a step up. It had more room than the cab of my little pickup. At first it did not have a radio but it does now; something my pickup never had.

Mine is the very first convertible I've ever owned. In fact, one of very few convertibles I've even ridden in. Today is day 245 of ownership, and I now know for sure I would regret it a lot if I had opted for the coupe instead.

That said, I'm living in Florida not Illinois. I don't know how arctic weather might affect my opinion. On the other hand, most of the year it is too hot here to put the top back without simultaneously running the air conditioner.
