I have had my 2008 yellow/black SMARTCAR since April.

It is dusty out here in the desert, and my air cleaner needs cleaned/replaced. I live over 4 hours away from my nearest dealer.

Can someone help me with info how to get the air cleaner out so I can either clean it or replace it.

You can order the stock filter from Paul at the Round Rock center (see vendor marketplace) or the BPP Powerflow filter from Breathless Performance (exact fit for the car.)

Where do you live. There is a Smart Dealer in Chandler. You must be way up north to be 4 hours away from Chandler.

If your air cleaner is clogging up already, you'll probably want to go the the severe service oil change interval - doesn't sound like the 10K interval would be a good idea.
