Picked it up at smart center Bloomfield. Thanks for the heads up about the AC drain. I'll check and make sure mine is connected!

Welcome, love the silver Brabus!
So far our 2009 smart has zero problems. Seems like a lot of issues were worked out since 2008 models.

Good!!! I've come from a long line of unreliable cars (turbocharged eagle talons and mitsubishi eclipses) I got the smart to have a reliable car and would hate to have a million problems.

My being a parts guy at a Mopar dealership, I can certainly relate to THAT statement.

Happy smarting!!!
Michigan is the exception to this statement. I lived there for 23 years and if you don't drive american you don't drive at all.

In fact most of my family still lives there and they didn't even acknowledge my new car, so sad!

It's true. I find the majority of Michiganders very closed minded. We see SO many "Out of a job yet? Keep buying foreign" bumperstickers. I'd like to produce my own sticker that says "Support the foreigners since the majority of the Fortune 500 companies make their profits overseas, you jackass!"

Welcome Anchorman!
I too am a transplantee here in Michigan. I also have an '09 silver Brabus. I live Northwest of Ann Arbor. We have had ours since April 15th. No issues other than the "B" logo falling off the fuel door. We have 13K on it, get 42mpg and really enjoy the car. Even after being in the USA for nearly 2 years, it still draws stares.

I tell people as soon as ford makes a good inexpensive small car that gets 35 mpg average I will sell my smart and get theirs. But it has to be as safe as the smart and just as interesting. That normally shuts most people up.

Congrates on the brabus looks wonderful!
