I'm curious... the shifter thing does seem to be very common... in retrospect, did you see any warning signs that led up to this? What do you mean by hesitation and shifting... in manual or auto mode? i.e. did you click + / - in manual and have to wait? In auto mode, did it stay in 4th a while before shifting to 5th?
I haven't had this shifter problem, and I wouldn't say I've seen hesitation in mine, so hopefully mine will be ok. It does seem to learn not to upshift on certain inclines, which I can describe as intelligent response, as though it senses the incline even before engine load changes. Is what you describe as hesitation the same thing, where it learned your patterns and now has to re-learn them?
