We have got a lot of looks and stares, not caused an accident..yet. Get asked the gas mileage question, and get a lot of "is it safe?" Some of my favorites are

"What happens if a semi truck hits you?"
My response is usually: "What happens if it hits you?" or "Im sure it will hurt."

"Where do you put the double A's?"
Response: "It takes 2 D's"

"Why do they call it a smart?"
Response: "Well, thats the name of the company...like Ford."

Generally I try to be nice when I answer.

One time while driving in Louisville I had a teen boy point and laugh, loud enough that I noticed it with the windows up. Most people give thumbs up, seems like the teen boys are the ones that laugh though.

Get some kind of generic car that people see constantly -- maybe even avoid new ones as people sometimes have more interest in those. Go for a muted color (gray metallic, brown, burgundy, etc.). Avoid any kind of bumper sticker as that might catch someone's eye.

Let us know what you buy so that we can avoid making eye contact.
Made me LOL -- And I'm at work and that's really hard to do...

People at stop lights ask me questions all the time. Yes, people on the highway gawk but no accidents to others yet. Our church sponsors a classic car cruz-in once a month during the summer months and my wife and I work the refreshment table, I should say she does because I'm usually answering so many questions about my little red space pod that I have no time to serve people. Sometimes my co-pilot is a 3' stuffed MarvinMartian doll, that gets as many stares as the car.

Nothing I've had in 36 years of driving ( Started at 16) gets looks like this little car, Not the Corvettes, Porsche's, Trans Am's GTO's or Maserati. However the 2004 Mercedes AMG G wagon come close. People just smile when they see it. In this day and age that's not a bad thing to deal with. P.S My 50 shot dry NOS system goes in this week. That should add a little kick to it.

I park Tiny Red at work right outside the drive-thru window (the coffee shop you all know the name of) and all my customers know that I'm at work when they see it. Even my favorite little three-year-old customer-daughter knows "Miss Beth's" car.

Earlier this month my house was the seventh in my neighborhood to be broken into in the middle of the night (scary!!) and the news van was following the police around on calls that night. So what also made the news? My other half in the driveway talking to the police officers with Tiny Red in the background.

The next week, all my customers were asking if we were one of the houses broken into because they recognized Tiny Red from the news story!

Very recognizable our tiny cars are!

Today my wife & I were out & about when 4 young men (early 20's) stared and started laughing at us in our red/black passion. I wonder if it had anything to do with the realistic looking antlers growing out from the doors?
