I am looking for a very small car to place sideways on the back of a HeavyDutyTow vehicle, necessitating a <102" total length. This is set in stone (and DOT rules), but I would also prefer a car that is electric, or diesel. I have always owned non-luxury, underpowered vehicles, so I expect no surprises there.
My understanding so far is that the 451 is 106 inches in length, therefore I need to look to the older (what years?) model 450 import/conversions that have a 96" total length. An electric is only available in Mexico and cannot be licensed in US. A diesel is only available in Canada and cannot be licensed in US. I sense a trend here.
Do I have my limited facts straight? Are there other cars that would suit my purpose better? I use a motorcycle as my main transportation and am looking for something to drive in the rain. Long distances are done with joy on the motorcycle.
All input appreciated...
