Carrying a bicycle

Hi all, newbie here. should have mine within 2 weeks. My dealer is in White Plains, NY.
I need to find a bike rack other than the one shown as an option. I can probably stuff it inside. Also, is there any option brochures online? Thanks!

accessory manuals available.........

Hi All, had to work in NYC today & I stopped in at SMART Manhattan (Manhattan Mercedes). They had 4 cars in stock & have not opened yet. They said possibly thursday this week. They had all brochures in the showroom available. As far as the bike rack goes, they are showing another style called the "basic rack". It looks to be bolted to the rear bumper tow hook mounts with an additional set of lights (since the bikes will block the rear lights).
Quite a "rig" to say the least. I'm hoping Thule will have something soon............

I have used bike racks on a number of different vehicles and have usually found the factory option to always be more expensive (sometimes more than double), but far more suited for the task than any of the aftermarket versions. The reason is that the aftermarket units are generally a compromise to accommodate several makes and models, while the factory(dealer) options were specifically designed for the vehicle. The reduced production volume of a model specific rack, of course, will drive up the cost/price. My 2cents.
