changing colors?

Hi - My husband and I went to the dealership a couple of days ago in Sarasota, reserved our Smart car. The place was so crazy we forgot to ask about the deal with changing the color panels on the car...if wanted to in the future. Does anyone know how much this costs, does it have to be done an the dealership or can it be done by the owner?

Color panels are about $899 or $1199 a set (the metallics are more) and take about an hour to change out. Dealers can do, but the process is relatively simple enough that "you can do it at home", with the proper instructions, of course!

I've heard that they panels cost between $800 and $1200, probably depending on if they are painted or solid color.

You can change the panels yourself, although the dealer can do it in about an hour.

Well, as I entered this I see that nearly the same info is being posted at the same time.

Changing the color of the tridion will run between $11,590 and $16,590 and could take up to 12 months compared with one hour for the color change on the panels.
