Cleaning upholstery

I've had my new SMART for a week. It has the beige upholstery. Does anyone have suggestions for cleaning this fabric? I don't want to use the wrong thing on it, and cannot find any reference to what to use to clean it in any of the literature.

I LOVE THIS CAR. It is possibly the best expenditure I have ever made!!!!!!!!!!

I removed a small spot with Resolve and plan on using the upolstery cleaner on our carpet cleaner when it gets dirty. I also have the beige.

Thanks, msjohnson1974, I'll get some Resolve and try it.

Mary, let us know the results; we have one spot on our beige interior but I'm not touching it until I'm sure it won't do more harm than good.

Here's a nugget of trivia.. I once had a Volvo with a white-ish headliner. I took it it for a sunroof problem, and when returned to me, it had a greasy smear on that white fabric. I had them look at it.. "no prob", the guy said. Goes into the garage, comes back with a can of brake-pad cleaner. Squirts some on the stain, touches it (not rubs) with clean rag.. instantly gone. I was surprised. He explained that brake pads need to be VERY clean, to avoid squeaking, thus the cleaner for them is highly effective. One could give it a try, if you're feeling it's a greasy stain. No promises.. but maybe worth a try.

Lots of variable involved here: sun exposure, nature of the stain, time it had to sit and be absorbed, chemical used to clean it, etc...
My humble two bits: try it first in a hidden location to see if it affects the fabric or whatever...
