Color Change???? From Red to Blue

Hey there. I have my smart passion convertible coming in a few weeks. I wanted to get the blue metallic instead of the red metallic. I think the red looks orange and not happy with that

Anyone out there near san diego want to switch colors?

I called smartcar and they said I would have to wait for 3 months to re-order i want my car now.. so i am puttin this out to see if someone order the same options and such to trade..

I ordered the comfort package, fog lamps, black tridion cell, additional gauges for a total price of $17895

Please get back to me before the end of feb.. my car should be in the dealer by then. maybe we can trade cars?

Maybe they have an orphan that for a small fee they would swap panels on for you.

I originally ordered a yellow one because I want to have the greatest visibility on the road being in such a small vehicle. I ended up adopting an orphan last week and was spared the loooooong wait. It is the orangey-red and I am glad because it is a little brighter and more noticeable than a darker red like my Nissan Murano. I just want to say "hey, I am here" next to those trucks!!! (just my opinion on color..... I might even order the yellow after a while.)

Dito - what did your dealer say about these "red metallic" panels that are really non-metalic opaque panels in a light red that is bordering verry close to what one would call orange?

I have posted about the same post under "Anybody have a problem with what they are calling "red metallic"?"

Never in a million years would I have special ordered a car in what should realy be called "puke red"!
