Couple of Newbies

Howdy Y'all!

My wife Steph and I got our orphaned 4-2 Cabrio today, December 1, which just happens to be Steph's birthday. Blessings all around! We placed our $99 order on October 15 of this year. This past Friday, November 28, Steph got a call from the Smart Car Orphanage in Jackson, MS saying that a Cabrio with her exact colors, extras, and wants, had just become available. She signed the papers on Saturday, and we picked up "Smart Aleck" this morning. Yes, we are smelling the same "new smart car , uh, aroma" as others have mentioned, but it's not too bad.

We are getting aquianted with it, and like what we have seen so far. I love using the manual shift feature (old clutch junkie that I am), and being able to put the top down while moving is killer! The upgraded sound system is OK for what it is. Back in the day I used to do custom sound system installs, etc. I've already been warned not to even THINK about putting a pair of 12" subwoofers in the back. I can tinker on her Harley all I want, but I've been warned that it would not be smart to tinker with her smart....LOL (I can't wait for her to take a little weekend trip in the van with our daughters...there's PLENTY of room in the dog house for when she gets back!)

Holy Cow!

I thought that the grocery bill might go down a little after Steph said that she wanted to take Smart Aleck grocery gettin'. GOOD GRIEF CHARLIE BROWN! You can really put some groceries in that thing! Says Boo-boo, "It looks like a rolling pick-a-nic basket, Yogi!"
