Cruise Control for my new Passion

Hello Everyone,
Picked up my new '09 Passion orphan about 3 weeks ago. Has anyone installed the cruise control on their Smart? Does it work well? I make weekend trips during the summer and would love to have the cruise control. Will be getting window tinting next week. Am really enjoying my Smart, fun car, gets lots of smiles.

I installed the Area 451 unit when they frist came out. I've put about 10,000 miles on since then with no problems. It's an easy install but you must have patience. And it works great.

The Area451 cruise control is a beauty. The performance is rock solid. I was hesitant to get it at first (money decisions) but have never been sorry about the choice. Whether for long drives or cruising through the school zone, I have what I need to make me happy!

13,500 miles with the Area 451 and it's the only mod that I can't live without. We took the smart from Tampa to Knoxville and back, including 4 days in the mountains. Still haven't had an issue.

Installed my MDC that I got from SmartMadness in about 1 hr and 15 min, EZ. It was on a special for less than $400. This is the unit that uses factory parts and has been sold in Canada and Europe for years. I haven't had long enough, or been home long enough to give feedback, but thousands of other users have. At least it's another proven option.

Area451, 6 months and 6000 miles with nothing but pleasure. John H's LED kit makes it even more fun (ccleds@johnhandwork.com)

Smartieparts.com is Steve's shop in Canada. He owns the company and provides great customer service. On the Area451.com web site are listed the other vendors he has authorized to sell the unit.
