Did the deal! got my '08 pure, 6200m, $7300 2day

Flew from Denver to Tucson and did the deal . Got a silver '08 Pure with 6200 careful miles for $7300. It'd pretty much like new. Still has 4 months of warranty. Driving it back to Boulder on mon-tues. Does anyone know if the extended warranty can still be had and about how much? http://tinyurl.com/yhhtgv6

Congrats! Great price, too. Link to your original thread if anyone needs it: Hopefully picking up my Pure this weekend! Any tips for long drive back?

The extended service contracts should be available from your smart center; don't know what the current pricing is. Some dealers are offering them from other companies.

Very nice Pure. I like the sliver and black on the car. I know you will be having a ball in the car. One thing you should look into unless the previous owner already did is to go and do the 2.0 upgrade on the transmission. I know you don't have the paddles, but it makes a nice sizable difference on the way the car shifts. Keep us updated on what you do to the car. Also be prepped to answer some questions on the car. The day i got mine and many days there after i had strangers come to me by the hoards asking about my car and even many co-workers ( And the comedians will come out of the woodworks such as my fellow church friends, who cares what they think)

I called the Denver Smart center before leaving. I left my vin# on their vm for the service mngr, asking if he could check to see if service is up to date and if the trans update had been performed, but no call back as yet. Guess I'll try again after I get back.

Sifting is..... different, but I'm getting the hang of it. Most of my personal cars have been manual shift and except for the long lag in the 1st-2nd shift, it seems to be fine. I'm surprised at how spunky the car is in 3-5 gear. Buzzing around town with my local frined here in Tucson I was reallys surprised as betwwen teh 2 of us the car is hauling 300lbs. and did just fine.

I've been studying the owners manual and found out a lot (like there is storage within the tailgate) and feel ready for the trip tomorrow Back to Boulder. My 1st mod will likely be a mini amp and plug so I can play my ipod thru the stereo sys, as I already have the parts. Then I'l build a set of brackets for the drivers seat to tilt the seat bottom up at the front, raise the seat 1-2" and allow it to go back an extra 2-3". Also I'll be getting some graphics for my biz within a couple weeks.

Congrats! Great deal! Re: Extended Warranty: I had a year from date of purchase on my 2009 (1/31/09) and just got mine from the dealer. The pricing and structure had changed from the company they use. (Originally, the Extended Warranty was $695 for 2 add'l years). It was $895 for 1 more year of warranty coverage and I bit the bullet and did it! Thought it was worth it as they had to replace my clutch. Better safe than sorry was how I thought of it!
