Dirt on rear window

Hey, I have only had my Passion for a couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone else has this problem...Sooo much dirt on the back window! Granted -- I live on a dirt road and there are many other dirt roads here in the country where I am. But, I would love to find a solution other then washing it several times a day. Other then that -- I love it! Thanks for any suggestions.

It's not just the back window, but the whole back of the car. Just wait till winter~
You could always get creative with your dirt -

I don't have a fix for the road dirt, but will be watching this thread.

And Congrats on your new smart!

I suggest stocking up on a lot of wiper fluid .
I don't live on dirt roads but the road dirt clings to the rear end plastic body panels. Plexus works great on that and the rest of the plastic.

Here in Wi the back of my car is a mess all winter with road grime.

All summer the front is covered with bugs

Always something to clean, Trick is to make it easier to clean with the right polish

Thanks for the responses. I am very happy with the car so I will just buy some plexus and keep cleaning.

Mud flaps? The back wheels are so far, well, back, that dirt & water on the pavement spray up.

I describe my smart to others as a "jet-ski on wheels". When the roads are wet, there is such a steady spray coming from my back wheels that it closely resembles a Yamaha wave-runner's water-tail:

I keep Rejex on the panels, tridion, windows, and when I had a Passion, the roof. You'll still get some dust and dirt, but a good rain storm washes it right off. No scrubbing necessary.

After my first rain in my cabrio, I walked out to my car the next morning to put something in the trunk.

It look like the back of my Jeep after a day in the mud !!

On my way to work I stopped at a quarter car wash.

The only part of a smart that gets dirtier faster is them blasted front wheels !

I think the main reason for the amount of dirt on the back is the fact that the back of the car is basically flat, therefore the air flow stalls behind the car, hence the dirt kind of hangs out for a while back there. Had the same problem with a Bond Bug years ago, put a little roof spoiler on it, kept the rear screen clear quite well.

I recommend driving backwards - it will reduce the back-window build up quite a bit!
