I have a cpe and I'm getting very tired of all the hand/fingerprints on the windows -OK to look at someones car, but why-oh-why do smarts draw so much "touching"?

I don't really like the touching either. But it's not nearly as disturbing as when someone tries the door! Twice I've had someone try opening the door. Once, when we were at the car show they set off the alarm and once at the parade they opened the door and looked inside. What's up with THAT?!
I can't imagine anyone doing that to any other car. We're celebrities, so I suppose it comes with the territory.

maybe you should set up a level-10 force field around it. get Scotty on that right away.

When I went to a rest stop on I-5 in Cali, some nut job crawled under my car to take a look! Aside from the intrusion, it was 107 degrees in the air, so the ground must have been well over 120 or so! I watched him while I was sitting in the shade and decided after a few seconds to stop him before he wedged himself under there and got cooked.

You should have hit the remote button while he was under there~! See how far and fast he jumped~! That would surely be amusing to watch.

That would work, but I think it would have been funnier to sneak up and hop in the car and wedge him under there real good. After some good squirming you could let him up. Now THAT would be funny!

I hate the touching, too. I get her all cleaned up, and then someone decides to get up close and personal with her. I came out of a meeting one night last week and someone had her face up against the windows trying to get a peek inside to see if her dogs would fit in the back. Even after I hit the remote button she didn't budge. Sheesh!

No offense, but you buy a microcar. There are only 10,000 in the US. They are an oddity and oddly attractive. Most people have never seen one in person. You were attracted to them, yet, now that you have one seem annoyed that others are attracted as well.

I take it as a compliment when people do this. Maybe I am a bit used to it from having had cars like Triumph Spitfires and such in the past and since they were few and far between attracted a fair amount of attention.

A simple, "Say, I just waxed her - is there something I can answer for you?" seems to work for me. As far as trying to maintain anonymity in a car like this - that is just expecting a bit much...

...Unless people have patted it when I'm not there! :O

Jackalopes...HAHA! I saw a lot of those out west...skeletons, that is. Maybe they're a by-product of nuclear testing? Maybe just some smart guy thinking of a tourist attraction? Anyway, I feel your pain, especially if they screw with it just after you get it detailed.
