Hi guys,

I just encountered this forum, and excited about the future of this Smart Car.

I've heard and seen this Smart Car back about 5 years ago back in my home country. I have also seen them when I was on holiday trip in Europe.

I subscribed to Smart newsletter last year and was offered to reserve the Smart in USA for $99. I regret now that I didn't take the chance to reserve it back then due to uncertainty of my stay in the US. As of now, I'm completing my MBA and how I wished I could be one of the proud owner today.

On April 17, 2008, I went to the Smart showroom and made the reservation online in there. Hope to hear the good news from them real soon.

Ordered in this combo:
Smart Passion Cabriolet
Met. Red + Met. Silver Tridion
Black Leather Interior

I'm also looking around locally and through online to find one at a decent deal.

In the meantime, I'll be in this forum learning new stuffs, plan my car and getting feedbacks from all you Smart owners and members here.

Amen to that!! Got the reservation list, orphan list, just walked into the dealership and brought one home blues!

I got into the Orphan list too.

and the salesman decided to offer me 1 demo cabrio with 1000 miles at sticker price of $20k. Another passion coupe with no options, except dealer add ons + mark up for $17.5k. .

I'm not getting those for sure... not liking their greed and ego.

congrats.. I could've walked out with either of the 2 cars available, but options, color combo, and price were not to my liking.

Just got the call about an Orphan! Pick her up tomorrow. I cannot stress how important it is for us to afford these abandoned innocent smartcars a good home.

sweet. I think for people still waiting, I would do as others have alreeady recommended here; get alot of face time at the dealership. Be enthusiastic. demonstrate good credit. crap like that.
