I should be seeing my Smart passion arrive in town in the next ten days and while a great test drive "sealed the deal" for me, I'm very interested in learing more about those Smart owners who have purchased 5-yr./100,000 extended warranties. How much did your dealership charge for the coverage? I also read about an inappropriate clause covering the clutch exclusions (ugh!); have other owners found other terms that "warranted" greater scrutiny before signing? Thanks!

Thanks for the information. Since I posted the inquiry, I've been pleasantly surprised to find a large number of extended warranties for our smart 451s! If you plan on keeping the vehicle for more than two years, purchasing the extra coverage (especially if it's transferable) seems like a pretty good idea!
