Fairly New Owner in South Georgia

Hi folks!

After a blissful month of driving my new yellow/black Passion, I'm finally posting to this wonderful forum! Sorry it took so long, but I've been driving or cleaning this beauty ever since I got it

A few observations:
1. Although it's a little squirrelly in the wind at highway speeds, the car still feels safe and makes a wonderful trip car, IMHO. I do wish it had cruise control, though.
2. I've been getting between 34-38 MPG with a mix of town and highway driving. Not bad, and I understand the mileage will improve once it's broken in
3. I've begun to get the knack of shifting smoothly, and I almost exclusively use the paddles, shifting between 3,000-4,000 RPM.
4. With almost 1,300 miles on her so far, I've never had such fun driving a car and finally realized that I don't need 200 horsepower to enjoy driving (my other car is a 2006 GTI).
5. Washing and waxing this car takes very little time- LOL!
6. I'm loving the personal stories and great advice you guys offer on this forum, and I hope to contribute some some of my wisdom in future posts!
Thanks for reading!
Eric

Welcome; quite a few others in GA - not exactly sure where you are. At 1,300 miles it's broken in, although the mileage may increase as you and the car get more in tune. Post some photos when you can and don't forget the Members Map.

Done, and thanks, jwight! I'm in Valdosta, and I've seen two other For Twos here so far: a white/black Tridion and a silver/black one. I'm normally a shy guy, but this car has definitely made me come out of my shell, and it's fun meeting new people, answering their questions, and showing them the car. Like many others, I plan to take about 5-10 minutes out of my errands to talk to people about the car.

My dealer was the Smart Center of Buckhead, and the sales staff were helpful, professional, and fun to deal with.

Hey thanks, Dunerunner!
You're definitely right about that! I can't help laughing when I see the car parked next to something low and sleek like a Vette or Eclipse. How it stands out- in a good way!

Hi Eric, Johnny here from the other end of the state. Can you help me guess how much longer I'm going to have to wait. Did you get an orphane or did you reserve, if so when and when did you confirm?

I'm closing in on one year and getting anxious.

Hey Johnnie-
My wait was estimated between 18-20 months, so I called the dealer in Buckhead and was placed on an orphan list until I got the call from them in April. You might want to be placed on the orphan list, too. The only downside is that you may not get the configuration you ask for at first, but the wait will be shorter. If you do get an orphan, be sure to cancel your order to get your $99 back.
Hope this helps!
Eric
