some pics of your 'RV' as well? I've seen some with 'garages,' and pictured my Ruby all snug in the back.
The more I read these posts and poke around the smart neighborhoods, the more satisfied I become in my decision. All this before a test drive, mind you.

Have a great vacation, and don't forget about We Waiting. And, how about a little video, while you're at it? <hopeful look>
Thanks for the info. I talked to Kristan on the 15th I think and she said that they were only expecting 15 by the end of the month. She did confirm that I wasn't on the January list so I have been waiting for a call when she had her complete list of reservation holders. My reservation number is 1188 so I had hoped I might be in the first batch or two. I am a little disappointed to hear about the $399 doc fee. It is less than what some dealers are charging but I had hoped that it would be lower. Can you say whether they had any accessories for sale such as floor mats, ball caps, etc. for sale?

I am 63 and have bought 76 cars, cycles, and trucks before this. Some new, some old and some junk so I have met a lot of salesmen and been at many dealerships. MB (aka smart) of Knoxville had people that were more polite and helpful than most. But hey I'm a yankee and everyone here is just wonderful. I would recommend them to anyone, if that helps. But be patient, they can only do what the factory gives them.
They charged a $399 service and prep fee and of course the same transportation fee that everyone in the U.S. pays - that is typical car business. Pictures will have to wait, we are getting ready to leave on a vacation for two and a half weeks, so no time to load the one photo I have.
There were lots of smarts there and most were set aside in another area. I think they had about three in the showroom so they seem to be taking good care of customer cars. They were getting lots of lookers at noon on Sat. and booking rides for the following weekend. A second one was ready to deliever on Sat. afternoon so I don't have an exclusive anymore.

russ, great "first drive" impressions, thank you. for me, i am excited to drive it again as i only drove it last august with my wife when they did the smart tour. sure there are other cars that get better gas mileage, for me the combination of good mpg and style are important.
