First Week: Meets all expectations

Got my Passion last Monday. What a great little car! Handles well, good performance, and a great attraction. My daughter and I drove it home from the dealer, and she kept watching people's reaction to it. I used it on my (22-mile each way) commute to work, plus errands, and just enjoyed the "personal-ness" of this car. We have a Prius as our other car, and I was hopeful that the gas mileage would be comparable (45 mpg for the Prius). Saturday, I filled up the tank (5.6 gal) and calculated the mileage for the first time. If the dealer filled it up, I wound up with 48.4 mpg! Far better than I dared expect.

I left the shifting as automatic, and never tried to accelerate hard. There was always some headroom in the acceleration if I needed it, but I wanted to get max economy.

Gosh, if I had this thing when I was 18, I'd be the most popular guy around. All my daughter's friends think it is a 'really cute car'. Alas, at 61, I'm simply enjoying the fun of driving a really unique automobile.
