G & K versus the new model?

I'm debating which model Smart to buy at the moment.

The main thing for me is MPG, but i'm hearing the G & K engines are not lasting as well. I'm also concerned about the difficulty getting parts for them.

Any info would be helpful, thanks.

I think the main thing would be parts with knowledgeable mechanics coming in a very close second.

We have a G&K in our local club and I was at a loss when asked some "in detail" mechanical questions about it. Most of the answers can be found on the internet to do armchair troubleshooting if something did go wrong.

A number of years ago, I brought a Honda into the US. It was one that was never brought in by Honda of America. I would never do it again as there was NO service or even parts ordering available. With the G&K you will be almost in the same boat.

The Big difference is the service network and the support of smartUSA.

Smart USA has been great to many folks who purchased used 451's

Can be said for problems with a 450 in the US

If you go into Canada often, you might have the ability to get service for a 450 there but service for a 451 is as close as Smart Center Seattle.
