gear shift lever

Help I qm on Nqntucket two hours by ferry to mainland gear shift lever STUCK any ideas

This is happening to many of us.

Go to the Op + Maint, forum, this site, for a field fix that may allow you to drive to the dealer or home. Or your dealer will send a truck to haul your car in. Good luck. A2Jack.

It would be nice if there was a simple way to just SQUIRT soem lubricant into the shifter rather than have to dissemble it to gain access!!?

something similar happened to me last Sunday, I called 1 800 smartusa , my gear shift lever had to be replaced

There is!!!! Use WD-40 as suggested....

It definitely worked for me! Spray alittle into the small space to the tops and sides, holding a rag under the knob to catch runover.

Are you having problems getting it out of gear? I have had that problem and don't know what is wrong.
