After 10 years of waiting I finally have my "Smart". I have watched this car since 1998.
They told me it would never come to America...(Ha,Ha).
I placed my order ,On Mar. 26th 2007, I picked up my new Smart on April 3, 2008.
I am very happy with it. However I did have to put it in the shop for 10 days. I had appox. 3,500 miles on it an I noticed a small leak (size of a nickle) happening for appox. 2 weeks.
There was a gasket problem in the engine. The engine had to be removed, they also had to wait for the part to arrive. This was the first time they had this problem with a Smart.
The Dealership (Park Place) was fantastic, as always.
One complaint, NO one told me up front that the car would need "Premium" gasoline.
And they did tell me that I should plan on 15 - 20 minutes longer for every trip to the grocery store. Everyone will want to talk about the car or ask if they can sit in it.
And if I would say one thing..."It makes EVERYONE SMILE...
