I don't have mine yet, but I did see one on the highway last week in San Jose, Ca. I was getting onto southbound Hiway 101 at the de la Cruz onramp and he was moving into my lane to take the exit to Hiway 87 - a silver/silver Cabrio. I wonder if it was a 450 though because it already had a license plate and I don't think the 451s have been out here long enough to get plates - it typically takes DMV at least 6 weeks to get the plate delivered.

Anyway, I was in my Ford F450 Crew Cab (license plate: RAMKILR) and when I pulled up along side of him I saw that the smart looks like it would actually fit INSIDE the cab of my truck!

Hopefully ours will be here in the next 6 months or so...

Dude. Just picked up my SMART passion this afternoon. Great to see a felllow Hoosier owner.

Question: Did your engine smell pretty hot in the first day you drove it? Not from inside, but after driving around 30 minutes I stopped and opened the hatch to remove something. That is when I noticed it.

That seems to be a normal offgassing of sorts....posted before earlier and I noticed it on mine for the first couple of days.. No more now at 300 miles.

Haven't had that happen yet, but I'm waiting as I am using my old Jeep plate to advertise the business on the front and my real plate on the back. Waiting for the vanity plates (takes about 45 days) to replace the ones the dealer ordered.

Second day of driving my smart I was entering a tee intersection where traffic had to stop and a guy driving an F250 almost didn't stop while looking at me make the turn. When he realized he was about to hit someone in the intersection he jammed on his brakes, the woman in the Taurus wagon behind him, also looking at the car didn't notice the quick F250 stop. What a surprise to see her gawk and then her body lurch forward as she bumped the truck! No damage and a lot of smiles. This smart just caused its first accident, I expect more occurrences like this as this is the only smart in the area.

Been checked out twice. The second time, the officer asked to get in the car to see if he could manage it with all his equipment. Grins all the way around. I've had mine a liitle over a month and still getting looks, thumbs up, questions every time I'm filling up, at the store, etc. My daughter was driving it the other night and noticed a couple of flashes coming from the car next to her - apparently cell phone camera flash.
