Dealer orphans may be an option depending on location. Although when I look back there was a lot to be said for anticipation! Everything doesn't have to be "right now"!

You're right - the chase is an important part of the catch isn't it?

It's a ways off, but when your dealer can get your VIN, you can track the boat across the Atlantic, that was fun! There are threads you can seach here about tracking boats. Note that the basic search won't work for search terms 3-charaters or less. I ususally try a second search where using google search on the forum is more powerful.
