I just joined the forum and wanted to introduce myself and my Smart, Smart Alec. He joined our family in March 0f 2007 and he has been a wonderful family member.

We have loved driving Alec all round Boise, Id and just joined the Smart Car Club of Idaho. We are looking forward to attending rallies and other activites in the area.

Since you've had your 450 for a year and a half now, have you had any problems finding someone in your neck of the woods to service it? Did you get it locally, from Canada or bring it over yourself from Europe? I've thought at times of buying a 450 myself, as I've seen some real bargains, but if parts and service are hard to come by, then I think I'll wait.

Thanks to the Smart Car Club of Idaho, we found a local mechanic that can work on Smart Alec. We have had trouble with the engine light coming on; we are on our second visit to the shop for a fix. What is up with the engine light? I did some research on the Net and found that it comes on even as people are driving their cars off the lot when purchased. Anyone have some input on that?

We just put Alec's new winter "shoes" on last night. Does anyone have any input on how the ForTwo's do in the snow?
