welcome "mcgaydosh".....and i believe i'm correct when i say this, that there are more like YOU (those who DON'T own a smart) on this forum than otherwise.

the smart is not for everyone, but for those who fall in love with this little car, we all want one and we want them NOW. of course the problem is, if you were to place your 'reservation' for one today, you would have about an 18 MONTH wait.

should you decide to get one, get on an 'orpan list' at your nearest smart dealer, or dealers. maybe a few weeks to a couple months.

As Jeepster55 stated, MOST of us are on the "waiting list". IF you have not yet placed your reservation, I highly recommend you do so NOW! It is refundable and it will put in "line" ! It is my understanding that making your reservation now puts you on a waiting list of 18+ months !

Please others on the board, if you know of any other info, please let them know. That's the info to the best of my knowledge, as little as it is!
