We decided to chance the existing warranty base on the overall reliability of modern autos, hoping some of it had spilled into France, despite previous nightmares with old Renaults.
So far, no real problems, I think the Mitsubishi engine is a major plus, but we'll see...
The extendo can be purchased at the end of the 24 month 24k mile warantee. We have elected to wait to purchase ours until the end of our 24k mile test drive, waiting to see the reliability of the car.
If car is good, no need. If car is crap we need. That is how we will decide
