I bought a Yellow & black passion coupe orphan at the smart center of buckhead dealership about a month ago. I love it! It makes me smile and I just feel happy when I'm driving her!
I was on the reservation list for about a week, when I decided to make an appt. to test drive a smart to make sure it was worth the wait.
I was driving a 05 chili pepper red and black Mini CooperS at the time with only 16,000 mile on it and it had black stripes down the hood and rear, and a strip at the bottom of both doors with Mini CooperS on it. I loved my Mini and Her name was "Scarlett" seeing how we were down south and that was her color. We got in alot of trouble together, one more speeding ticket and I was to lose my liscense!
My adult daughter went with me for the test drive, we go on a few road trips together and she helps drive so I wanted her opinion. After going on the test drive we both were sold, I was showing the girls in the dealership what I planned on doing with the smart I was waiting to order (I had my notebook with pictures and all), they looked at me and said you know you can buy that one over there!
I hadn't even noticed it when I walked in, but there was the one I wanted! It was yellow with black, They had Lojack on it and tinted the windows. They had a kuhl (SP?) fx body kit, lowered it and it had 17" black lorinzer wheels and pirelli tires.
Needless to say I was in love, and I took it home that afternoon.
Since then, I have had darker tint put on the back and little side windows,with a 6" Sun strip on front window. I also had a Kenwood DVD player with Ipod & bluetooth installed plus Some graphics which consists of "Size Matters" in yellow on the sunstrip on the front window, plus happy little bumblebees flitting here and there. On the trident, I have SMART in yellow lettering.
I know I can't post pictures for awhile, but when I can, I will.
I've been reading these forums for a while and am very happy to join you all.
My grandson says that I am the "cool" Grandma!
It's alot of fun and isn't that what it's all about?
