I've only seen one shuttle liftoff from the scene. I've got a view of that event posted on YouTube.
Aging myself here, I saw the last three Apollo launches. Hey, I was only a child then, LOL. It is so awesome an experience. I would like to see another shuttle launch before the program ends.

It's normally by chance. Sister lives right across the river from the cape and her husband to be does a bit of this and that out there (he might work on the shuttle ) Last thing I saw was a satellite launch a few months ago.
