Hello from Doug Thorley Headers

Hey guys,
My name is Nick and I am the sales manager for Doug Thorley Headers here in Corona Ca. I myself became a Smart enthusiast after a very interesting trip through Europe. When I heard they were going to be available in the US i made to sure to spend $99 the best way I knew how. I am just waiting on the call so I can configure it like I want. Well since I am an enthusiast we will be manufacturing an exhaust system and possibly a header for it. Any questions anybody has feel free to ask.

Thanks
Nick 951-733-8658

There may be willing guinea pig smart owners out there to help you develop a nice header, I don't know if you have seen the complete exhaust system on a N/A 451 yet, I think it's going to require a compete redesign to make room for a header.
Performance gain should be very good % wise, that manifold looks right out of a small John Deere diesel tractor.

If it could look like a Cooper S or Ansa center outlet that would be great. Check out the Barabus exhaust. That is perfect for this car.

Hi Nick & welcome. I used your headers many years ago on a 428 Fairlane... nice product.
Consider Smitty's comment about the center outlet I think it would be a good seller.

Thanks for all the welcome words. We will be looking into all aspects of the exhaust. We are very unfamiliar with the smart system as of now but I feel that after seeing and being part of some pretty intricate and exotic projects that this one should not be the worst of them. I will definately keep everybody on the board up to date with the progress.

Thanks
Nick

CARB approved header, I hope?

With a nice ceramic coating, and titanium muffler to top it off. I can hear it already.
