I am new to the Smart scene. I was looking at getting the Passion. But I was wondering what some of the pros and cons are on the cars. The deff have a european style, but I kinda like it. I noticed the good gas milage and tiny size. Can I get some heads up on what I would be getting myself into?

There is LOTS of information on the forums about various perspectives. Depends on what you're looking for, your wants and needs. What's a pro for me {small size} could be a con for others.

Welcome. In my personal opinion, I was drawn to the unique style originally. Then there's the decent cost and good features that came with that cost, excellent mileage, and "wow" effect. Of course there are negatives to anything. It probably won't handle well in upstate NY snow, no cruise control (at least in the '08), you can only drive one passenger (possibly a pro), light weight makes for more noticeable wind effects. But the pros far outweighed the cons in my case. I wanted one of these cars since I first saw them in Europe ten years ago, and I'm thrilled I finally got one!
