Welcome Randy from B'ham. The dealer (Crown Mercedes) and salespeople are great to deal with. See Karen Wasson there she is very knowledgeable of Smart cars and most helpfull. I bought mine from her.

....wahooo. I bought the Smart today! Blue with Black Tridion, comfort package, preminum sound system, and anti-theft package. Purchased it at Crown Smart Center in Birmingham Alabama and drove it back to Huntsville..'bout a 120 miles. I like it...I like it alot.

Congrats on your purchase. I bought one of my smarts from Crown, one of the first 15 cars they sold. That's about the only good thing I have to say about them. The ONE problem I've had on both my smarts is the roof crazing. Took one of my cars to another dealer and the roof replacement was pre-coordinated all over the phone so all I had to do was drive to the dealer and spend the night to get it swapped out.

I told Crown about my crazed roof trying to get replacement coordinated. They wanted me drive 3.5 hours one way just so they can look at it. That is one day of lost work. Next would be driving up the next time to get it replaced which would require me to stay over night for the glue to cure. 2 more days lost work. I can't afford to lose that much time out.

Enough whining about them, just be careful dealing with them if something goes wrong.

Now on to more positive things. ENJOY that car! Sounds like it is loaded out pretty nice. You got it at the perfect time. Weather cooling down....also the gas prices going up.
