Hello from Ontario

Hi, I thought I'd check in here, mostly I wanted to know why this cold morning a little snowflake appeared on the display sometimes flashing, sometimes steady. Maybe warning me of possible road ice. This car constantly surprises me!

Couldn't find it mentioned in the Owner's Manual. Possibly an alert of freezing outside temperature? Where did it show?

Immediately to the left of the temperature display, at about 3 degrees celcius. Not in my manual either.

The only thing I can find is an "alert" box stating that the outside thermometer is not to be trusted as a definite warning of potentially frozen surfaces, but is just an indication.

I was thinking it told me the heated mirrors are on, but when I googled "smartcar snowflake display" I found this site with text indicating they are on all the time.. maybe I'll call the sales guy and check in here tomorrow. I'll let everyone know.

You're correct, the snow flake comes on at freezing temperature, Handy when you come to a black ice area

My dealer confirms Jpaul's observation. If you aren't paying attention to outside temperature the snowflake comes on at 2 or 3 degrees C just to warn you, start watching the road for freezing or black ice hazards.
