Hello Everyone...
I'm writing from the city of San Francisco. I've been following posts on this forum for a few months while attempting to decide if this is the right time in my life to purchase a smart. I'm from the UK and these lil guys are pretty common place around Europe. Going home on vacations and for holidays I've had the opportunity to drive smarts belonging to friends and also two occasions where I picked smart as a rental. Now that the cars are available state-side, I am now positive this is the right car at the right time for me.
Previously, I've owned Mercedes products and had very good luck with their mechanics, safety (this is a big one), and overall user experience. I am hoping the smart--for me--will prove to be just as reliable and pleasurable to drive.
I've started to see more and more around the city of San Francisco (and all over the Bay area). It seems that not only are they perfectly marketed for this area but that the waiting has finally paid off for so many of you guys. I look forward to getting to know you all through your posts and meeting some of you at different events around this area.
