I'm very interested in the great little car in general but am disapointed I am unable to find a turbo option for the US cars. I live at 7000 ft. and driving always involves a lot of change in altitude. Is anyone aware of turbo kits for the standard Mitsubushi US engine? Or, better yet any way to get the European turbo diesel?

Welcome to the forum! There is no turbo for US version or diesel for that matter from smart. There are a couple of after market turbo kits for the smart. The engine is a 999 cc 3B21 Mitsubishi that runs on gasoline (91 octane required).
