I've owned my 2005 smart cdi since June of this year. I wanted the diesel version badly enough to pay more for a used one with 31,000km than a bare bones 2008 gas model with a $2K eco rebate. I have no regrets as my black tridion Pulse with phat red panels has given me a best fuel tank mileage rating of 88.6 mpg (Imperial gallon). No regrets. I've added a K & N air filter and a Scanguage II so far as well as Bridgestone Blizzak snow tires for this winter mounted on the standard Pulse six spoke wheels. I am looking for a set of BRABUS Monoblock VI wheels in the 15" diameter size with 5.0 and 6.5 inch widths for next summer. If anyone can point me in the right direction for those it would be appreciated. The 2009 smart BRABUS will have 15's on the front so I cannot wait for the dealers to stock up on them. Hi and welcome, eh! I've seen the Brabus wheels on the Flying Tiger Racing site - not inexpensive! And BTW, Imperial gallons or not, that's pretty impressive mileage.
Dunerunner, I'd be putting some McGard locking wheel studs on those babies ASAP! Very nice, very nice! I'm hoping with the 2009 BRABUS model coming stateside very soon that I will be able to pick up at least two of the 15" Monoblock VI's that will be shodding the front of that model.
