I drove home my smart today! I am so excited! I've been wanting one of these since I saw it the first time in Europe in 2000. Now I've got my own eye turning little guy sitting in my driveway. I was so paranoid of LA drivers on the way home, cause its so new god forbid anything would happen the first day I drive it home right?! I'm still getting used to the whole automatic manual thing, going from driving a mitsubishi lancer to this thing is quite a learning curve. I'll post pictures when I take some tomorrow!

Congrats! Even in LA it still should be a head turner. (I had a '53 Chevy pickup when I lived in West Hollywood and I would gas up in Beverly Hills at the 76 station - it always got a lot more attention than the high end cars around BH.)

Yes, even in LA, the smart gets attention. Just watch out for guy/gal drifting close to you as they try to keep pace and look at your car at the same time.

I love all the attention from people who are on foot, those that are in cars and staring while stopped is fine too! But yeah, those that drift to close are the ones I'm a little weary of! I live on the border of South Pasadena so I'm a fellow SGV person, we should def. meetup someday!
