It is very gratefull for us to know that saling are going very good, even if we are a little worried about waiting time you have to face, before getting your car.

We had a pleasant show on wedneday, was very gratefull, more than 100 reporters and our big chief himself.

I will check if I can found some pictures of this event for you.

Hi,

First of all, even if we are producing all the smarts, the selling of a car is still the exclusive opportunity of our dealers.

Sadly Roadster is no more in production since quite few years now. And most of dealers didn't have any more available. You can of course find some on used market.

But let me remenber you, the roadster was not planned to be saled in US, and therefore you may face some trouble if you import it.

Mostly difference between a US car and the others, are points according to your specifics rules and laws.

We had to work on different system of exhaust, engine had to be tunes with quality of gazoline, wich is not the same, some knee paddle specific to the point that we had to face a crash without seatbelt for a passenger.
Some small change like the lighter, some light indicators and so on...

The most difference after that is that you can't have all otion possibilities other europe market (untill now) a turbo-charged version, diesel version, more power with brabus exclusive version, mhd system...
Of course it is the beginning of our venture in US and lot of things can change in the next years, but actually, situation is so.

As mentionnend on the event on last wednesday, we had produced the 1 000 000 smart.

On market point of view, with his first year of saling (not completly a year untill now), US is already the 3rd market for us and may be next year second or first.

Welcome Keshyathree. I visited smartville last week. Please say hello to Sabine for me. She is so helpful everytime I have been to smartville. I drive the red passion coupe and my wife has the white cabrio. No problems to report at 6000 miles. We love our smarts here in Texas. Thank you and all the people at smartville for building such good cars.

hi Keshyathree!

I'm happy to see your postings. What is your work at smartville?

Are you building MY car today? (joke )

My delivery date estimate is end of September through end of December, so I figure my little yellow cabriolet must be around there somewhere!

Welcome to smart car of america!
