Keshyathree - check out the current postings on the thread: Heated mirrors stay on all the time! Thought you could be our resident expert!! What do you think about all this?? Does it drag on the alternator? Are they to stay warm all the time?

Steering wheel covers

Here is a site that has a variety of covers. The problem I'm having is finding one that fits since the smart's steering wheel is slightly smaller.

Keshyathree, welcome to the forum, and I echo the others here, thank you for a wonderful car. I've had mine 4 months, 10,000 miles, and I love it more today than the day I picked it up. Keep up the good work, and best wishes from Indiana!

Hope you don't feel that you opened the"Flood Gates" of Q@A!!! Nice for you to help get some Real information to us here in thr USA. I quoted that thread, as this is a Burning issue here, as it seems to effect all the Smart that have arrived to the States. i have one of the first shipment build date 11/07. Please let us know how this can be corrected.

Merci'

Welcome to you, Keshyathree....

The smart car in this country is loved by most...even those who see it on the streets and highways! Kids hang out windows of their cars as they pass by my smartie and smile and wave frantically! Even most adults smile BIG when they see it!
My smartie runs better and better with even better gas mileage and performance now at 6600 miles.
What i really want to know is WHEN can we expect to be able to buy and EV or PHEV?
That will be the best smart that there can be!!!

Be well.

John

Just a note that this person is not an official smart spokesperson and we may be putting undue pressure on him or her with some of these questions. Answers are probably at corporate level so posting here would bring trouble even if they know the answer. Just my .02.

I absolutely agree, jwight, but this underscores how rabid some of us are for real information. The Smart Car USA folks really do a disservice (my perspective) to some of the owners by getting between us and the factory. If there are questions or issues, we tend to get little to no real help even though the service guys at the Smart Centers would *love* to help us out.

If there *were* a way to get a real techical information at least between the technicians and the factory (technician knowledgebase?) we'd be less likely to jump on the first unsuspecting person from Smartville.

Happy travels to anyone who visits from the factory! Thanks again for coming to our forum, Keshyathree.

thanks Jwight,

Effectivly I cannot tell you all informations I have. I feel really concerned with the defect you mention and you can sure I will investigate, report some of them.

But as already said, I am not here for communication's operation and there can be sometimes where I will simply answer, understood I cannot say more.

So, this said.
Once again thanks for your welcome.
I will try to find some material for you, we certainly have lot of things we can give as information.

For the steering wheel cover, it cas what I thought. In europe such thing is more or less uncommon. You took standard steering wheel or the leather one.

So it's 7 PM here and my son wait for me ;)

see you soon guyz and d'ont hesitate to contact me, I would be pleased to talk with you ;)

best kisses

K
