Stopped in to say Hi to everyone. My name is Kyle, I don't own a smart car I just work on as a tech at the smart center in Milwaukee.

Do we have it on good authority now (looking at the location under your name) that West Bend is nowhere?

Do you spend more time working on Smarts or working on used cars? It seems that most dealerships are a mix of new and used cars due to trade-ins.

I hope the work is fun! The results sure are.

Your the new guy right, Both here and at the dealership.

John, He works on both new and used smarts, After all the ones off the truck (new) do have some things that need to get put together before delivery. And I beleive he had a hand in puting mine back together after my new clutch. (used)

haha yea west bend is nowhere cuz no one ever knows where it is. And yea I work on used and new smarts nothin else at the moment at least, not sure if i'll have to work on anything other than smart.

I spent 19 years in Fond du Lac and at least West Bend had cookers that people had heard of and decades ago West Bend outboard motors.....but now I date myself.

Question;

When they ship smarts on car haulers are there tie down points or brackets to secure them? I'm going to haul my smart across the back of my Kenworth and I don't really want to strap the tires if there is a sound way to lock the entire car so it doesn't bob around and rub things.

haha, it cost just shy of $60 for a synthetic oil change (like 59.79 or something). and Russ not to sure where the strap them down I always thought the wheel but I could check when the next truck comes in.
