Can you actually get one for MSRP?

Yes. That's mandated buy the parent company.

Search other threads for comments about "Doc Fees" which some dealers are using to pad their profits, though in most cases those fees are regulated by the state.

Garage
Would help if we knew your location, etc. Lots of info here on dealer document fees, orphan car "add-ons" and other things affecting prices.

Huntington Beach, CA.

I just want a plain ol' nothin' to it car, so the Pure for me. The site says $11, 500, good to know that it can actually be attainted for that.

I would really love to have the Smart Roadster, that thing is sweet. USA sucks for importing cars

California doc fees are limited to $55. You can purchase and configure a smart online at www.smartusa.com and get it delivered for MSRP (plus $695 destination fee).

After just placing my reservation two weeks ago, I just jumped to the head of the line and got an order cancelation all black Cabriolet but the catch was that the dealer added a $2400 Pioneer touch screen radio/nav package that cost them probably about 600 bucks if that. That is how they made up the extra profit without adding in a "dealer incentive" It was a take it or leave it proposition. I took it!

I got mine for MSRP. I got an orpan lite yellow from Sacramento Smart. I did want the pods added to my car, so that was an extra $300 plus as well as the extended warranty. But those extra costs were added because I wanted those additional items. So the dealer sticks to MSRP, you just can't negotiate the price though

Or perhaps others "suck" for exporting cars? For that matter I think you will find the roadster is no longer being made so it would be very difficult to export it or import it.
