My wife really loved the SMART cars, made a reservation last year. She kept putting the dealer off but I knew she wanted one. Took her down to the dealer yesterday, now have a SC sitting in our driveway
Already encounter an issue though, Engine malfunction light, first full day of ownership. I check the gas cap as suggested in this site. Still have an issue so...looks like the wife will be making the trek back to the dealer [45 mile drive one way] tomorrow on her 1st day of vacation
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the "smart" acquisition. I got a check engine light too but it went away on it's on as quickly as it mysteriously came.
Thanks for the reply. We drove several hours today and it never cleared. I will check one more time tomorrow morning. Maybe it is just SO DARN HOT here in Texas, even the new SC got heat stress
Well here's something you'll like. Unlike other car manufacturers smart spells their company in all lowercase "smart" and their vehicles are much the same in all lowercase "fortwo" "roadster" "forfour"
Welcome, again...Give that Check light a little time to reset itself before running to the dealer, unless you have nothing else to do. That particular issue takes a time to clear.
